CREATING TUBES TUTORIAL

POINT TO POINT METHOD
I find the point to point method gives you the best
results then any other way of creating tubes.

PLEASE DO NOT COPY THIS TUTORIAL
TO PUT ON ANOTHER WEBSITE.
GIVE CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE.
IT TAKES A LOT OF WORK TO PUT A TUTORIAL TOGETHER AND.....
I DO IT IN ORDER TO HELP OTHERS. *HUGS*

USING THE LASSO TOOL
Select the lasso as shown and in the tool options
window make sure you have the
same settings as pictured.
STARTING ON THE OUTLINE OF THE IMAGE
Click once on the outline, I usually start in a corner or crease and
continue to the next corner or crease. When you reach the area you
want to stop........then go all the way up to the edge of the picture
and follow down adjacent to where you started. Double click where you
started and it will stop the process. It should now look like the illustration.
INVERTING THE IMAGE
Now go up to Selection and then click on Invert. Your image should now have
marching ants where you tubed and around the whole outside of the picture.

Now you will click on Edit-Copy,Edit-Paste as new Image.
If you are satisfied with what you have just done then you can close out the other image.
SECTION REMOVED
This is how it should look with the section of background removed. You should now have the grid showing in that section.
START ANOTHER SECTION
Now you will click once in another area, (I usually start it a little into
the already tubed area so as not to leave any stray pixels). Start clicking
on the outline until you reach the point you want to end it and double click.
You continue with the above steps until there is no background left.
COMPLETED TUBE
Now you will crop it, and if you want to resize or sharpen the image you will
do that now. When you are satisfied with the results. Click on File,Export,Picture Tube.
Give a file name and there you have it, your own tube
HELPFUL HINTS
To double check to see if there are any white areas, click on effects, 3d, drop shadow.
Make sure you undo before you save as you do not want to save the tube with a shadow.

If you decide to tube the image without doing the sections as I showed you then when
you have completely gone around the whole outline of the image you would then click on edit,
copy, paste as new image, no cropping is necessary as the program will do that for you.  *hugs*
